Drupal Site Building

Summary: 

This two-day, hands-on Site Building course provides you with a broad range of key Drupal skills that will allow you to build sophisticated Drupal sites.

Attendees will leave being confident in using the Field UI to define custom data and "Views" to query and display that data in any way they wish. Together with Rules these Drupal ingredients will allow students to "whip-up" sophisticated Drupal sites in no time at all.

Drupal Theming

Summary: 

Drupal theming allows you to present the content of your Drupal website in a stunning, effective and user-friendly way. Through this introductory Drupal theming course attendees will discover how to theme/skin a Drupal website. The key tools to assist themers will be covered along with the most powerful base themes that allow a standards compliant and responsive theme to be built rapidly for both large screen displays and mobile devices.

N.B. This standalone training day can also be combined with the Advanced Theming for Drupal day to form a comprehensive 2 day "theming" course.

Drupal Training Series

Summary: 

Benefit from a series of four carefully designed Drupal training days that fit together perfectly to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of Drupal along with the key skill-set needed to be able to tackle quite complex Drupal websites (and all without coding).

The three courses that make up this series can be attended perfectly well in isolation to the others - as long as "Drupal in a Day (an introduction)" is attended first - as it is the introduction. This means you can attend individual courses as and when it suits you.

If you need to train more one member of staff and you would like them to attend more than one of my courses consecutively - then I will be happy to schedule such a more time-compacted training series for you, and perhaps deliver it privately at your place (if that is more convenient for you). Drupal 7 Module Development

Summary: 

This two day course provides the key knowledge and skills for PHP developers to create safe and robust custom modules that extend the core functionality of Drupal 7. This course is focused, engaging and enjoyable and you will come away feeling confident and enthusiastic about building your first Drupal modules. We cover: the Drupal architecture (and how custom modules fit in); the major Drupal Hooks; the key APIs (including Form and Database APIs), creating custom database tables and much more.

During the course you will build a working custom module that further extends the functionality of a popular existing contributed module by implementing that modules API (a very common real-world coding workflow).

This advanced Drupal training course takes "Drupal Themers" further into the full power of the Drupal theme layer. You will discover how to take full control of your sites appearance via the use of theme preprocess functions, dynamic templates and more.

N.B. This standalone training day can be combined with the Theming Basics for Drupal day to form a comprehensive two day theming series. Just get in touch if you would like to attend a two day Theming course and I will schedule that for you.

N.B. This course can be scheduled on request and can be focused on Drupal 7 or on Drupal 8 (with new Twig template engine).
