Summary: 

The Drupal in a Day course provides a solid foundation in core Drupal skills and knowledge. In this focused and fun hands-on day, we cover all the essentials including: user management; sophisticated content display with "Views"; responsive themes and much more too.

N.B. Unless otherwise indicated - this course is based on Drupal 8. If you require training on Drupal 7 please contact me and I will be able to schedule that for you.

Audience: 

Those new to Drupal and who want to gain essential Drupal skills & knowledge.

This course is useful for all: commissioners, project managers, decision makers and team leads along with site builders, front-end developers ( themers) and module developers. It provides the essential understanding of the Drupal platform that all need.

Prerequisites: 

No prior experience with Drupal is required. No coding experience or prior website building experience needed. Experience with other CMS systems useful but not essential.

  • Appreciate the types of site that can be built using Drupal
  • Structure your Drupal website - menus, blocks etc.
  • Manage users effectively on your Drupal website: roles & permissions

  • Use the Fields UI to create custom content
  • Use Views to produce lists of the content you need to display to your visitors and website users
  • Theme Drupal - understanding options for providing an effective and attractive front-end to Drupal
  • Deliver essential SEO ...ensuring that your site ranks as highly as possible
  • Discover how to get answers quickly to your ongoing questions on Drupal
